Supporting Your Well-Being

By Working Together
Hello, I am Natalie. I work with clients experiencing difficulties relating to trauma (PTSD/cPTSD), anxiety, depression, workplace stress, grief and loss and more. This includes clients with autism spectrum, attention-deficit/hyperactivity, specific learning and intellectual development disorders. I also provide professional supervison and have an interest in rural and remote psychological practice.
As a sole practitioner I can guarantee a personalised service with priority given to my current and returning clients.
A little bit about me: I live in the Tamar Valley on a small farm breeding Wiltipoll sheep and would like to explore growing micro-greens. I have a partner, children and grandchildren who are just awesome.
As an EMDRAA accredited Consultant the primary intervention I use is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) whilst incorporating other evidence based therapies as required to best suit the needs of the client. Please be aware that EMDR is a transdiagnostic intervention with many applications. With a strong focus on symptom reduction and improved daily functioning, we will work together to put the past in the past, address the current, to move into the future confident of your ability to meet the challenges of life.
For more information specifically on EMDR please click on the button below and scroll down the page. The videos explain EMDR nicely and I will explain in more detail in person if this intervention type would be beneficial to you.
Contact is initially made by you to my email. Once I receive your email a New Client Form will be sent to you with information to help you decide if you would like to engage my service. Once the New Client Form has been returned you will be contacted to schedule sessions.
You don't have to worry about what to tell me because it is my job to help you feel comfortable and find out what brought you to seek help. I will ask you all sorts of questions from your strengths, goals, family, big events... we might even do a few activities to see how easily your body and mind can relax.
At the end of our first appointment I will propose a treatment plan and from there you can decide if you would like to proceed further.
The aim is that you have short bursts of weekly or fortnightly sessions and then have a break allowing you time to consolidate the changes that have occurred. The number and frequency of sessions will vary from person to person but we will have a clearer understanding once we get started.
For those wanting something other than in-person appointments, video-conferencing is available. You will require a quiet, private, comfortable space and access to the internet on a laptop or tablet. Phones are not recommended due to their small size. Please note that I do not provide telephone sessions as it is essential that I can see you.
